Prince Harry and Meghan arrived Nigeria

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have embarked on their first visit to West Africa, specifically Nigeria, to promote the Invictus Games, supporting wounded and sick service members and veterans.

They were warmly received in Abuja and are meeting with wounded soldiers and their families. Their visit is seen as a morale booster for Nigerian soldiers engaged in a long conflict against Islamic extremists.

They'll also engage in sports activities and interact with local NGOs, with Meghan co-hosting an event on women in leadership with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director General of the World Trade Organization.

The royals were invited by the Nigeria's Chief of Defense Staff.

Upon their arrival, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit children at the Lights Academy in Abuja, Nigeria.

They are here to champion the Invictus Games, which Harry founded to aid the rehabilitation of wounded and sick service members and veterans.
