Nigerian Man Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Fellow Nigerian In Libya

A Nigerian man has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting another Nigerian in Ubari city, located in Southern Libya.

According to a post by Migrant Rescue Watch shared on Thursday, the accused is also alleged to have inflicted burns on the victim.

The post stated, “#Libya 14.02.24 - Police (CID) in response to hospital report arrested in Ubari a Nigerian #migrant responsible for assault and battery of another Nigerian national. The victim was delivered to hospital after being severely beaten and burnt by the perpetrator. #migrantcrisis

“The accused was transferred to Ubari Security Directorate where he confessed to committing the crime. #migrantcrisis #DontTakeToTheSea #seenotrettung #Frontex”
