PHOTOS: NEMA Distributes Relief Materials To Victims Of Communal Crisis In Taraba
Officials of the National Emergency Management Authority in Yola, in collaboration with the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency, have distributed relief materials to persons affected by the communal crisis between Karinjo and Wurkum communities in Karim Lamido local government area of the state.
This was disclosed in photos shared on the official X handle of NEMA on Thursday.
The distributed items comprised food and non-food items such as mats, buckets, mattresses, and other items.
The caption read, "Following the Director General's approval for relief distribution to the affected persons, the officials of NEMA Yola Operations office, in collaboration with the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency distributed relief materials to the aforementioned affected communities.
"During the distribution exercise in Jalingo, Cyprian Agwunwa, representing the Director General, stated that the relief materials are a manifestation of the federal government's support through NEMA, aimed at alleviating and mitigating the sufferings of the affected persons.
